Is a prolonged low fat diet the best way to lose weight? Many women tend to cut down on their fat intake dramatically because they think it will accelerate their results to lose weight. However, such prolonged diets are in-fact very unhealthy and detrimental ( especially women! )

First off, it's important to understand that fats are one of the main energy sources for the body. They not only play a crucial role in weight management, but supports immunity, hormonal balance, the radiance of our skin and many more.

The following are the main 3 consequences on a prolonged low fat diet:

1. Disruption of menstrual cycle

- Infertility

2. Mood

- Easily irritated

- Less affection

3. Body Temperature

- Often cold

Women need dietary fat to help with vitamin absorption, energy production and hormone regulation. Thus, having a sufficient intake of healthy fat is essential for a healthier you.

However if you are experiencing some of these symptoms, don't fret as the following pointers will turn things around.

1. Bird's Nest

- Consume twice a week. Bird's Nest is the quick and perfect nourishment your body needs for improving fertility and everything as a whole. Bird's nest contains glyco-protein which helps cells renewals and recommended for mothers-to-be, patients recovering from surgery and children with chronic illnesses Proven for recovery and regeneration for healthy cells, I take this weekly too (From Sing Yan Singapore)!

Sing Yan's Chia Seed Bird Nest

A client of mine runs Sing Yan Singapore and their bird's nest are genuinely worth it. Very well concentrated and packaged in an airtight ceramic bowl! (delivery to your home!) I ordered a monthly nourishment plan where you receive 2 bowls of bird's nest weekly with choices of different flavors - Chia seeds, Pandan, Ginseng along with a no sugar option.

My top two picks: Chia Seeds(double the goodness) and Ginseng

I requested for a promo code for this article and the Management of SING YAN was quick to respond with one! For a limited time only, use SINGBETHIA when you shop at their website at www.singyan.com.sg

2. Fish Oils

Fish oil are rich in Omega-3 fatty acids. Omega-3 acids have been shown to help fertility by regulating hormones in the body and increasing the circulation to the reproductive organs. Also assisting with mood swings and have been a popular aid to depression too.

I'd recommend this for it's good concentration and value: http://sg.iherb.com/pr/Madre-Labs-Omega-800-Ultra-Concentrated-Premium-Fish-Oil-Pharmaceutical-Grade-German-Processed-No-GMOs-No-Gluten-1000-mg-30-Fish-Gelatin-Softgels/65844?rcode=JTD446

3. Evening Primrose Oil

Evening primrose oil is one of the more popular supplement for women hormonal balance and the regulation of body temperature.

I'd recommend this as it contains vitamin E in the capsules to stop the oils from oxidising. Great stuff! : http://sg.iherb.com/pr/Natural-Factors-OmegaFactors-Ultra-Prim-Evening-Primrose-Oil-1000-mg-240-Softgels/16865?rcode=JTD446
